Meet Anjadhe — a personal assistant that lives on your Mac, with your data, instead of in somebody else's cloud.
Cloud-based AI chat tools are great — until the question involves personal or confidential data you don't want to share. If you're not comfortable handing your most personal information — your inbox, your money, your health, your family — to tools running on someone else's servers, Anjadhe is for you.
Anjadhe flips it around. Your personal data — email, calendar, tasks, notes, journal, and investments — lives on your Mac, and not in some shape only an AI can read: it's laid out in Anjadhe's own apps, where you can see and work with it yourself. The AI comes to where the data is. That's what makes it the assistant you can hand your whole picture to: by default, nothing about your life leaves your machine.
Private, in plain words
- The AI runs on your own Mac. Setup downloads a free model (like Google's Gemma) onto your machine. What you ask, and what the assistant sees, stays there.
- Want a smarter brain? Your choice. Run a model on another computer you own, or add your own OpenAI or Anthropic account key. Your questions then go straight from your Mac to that one place you picked.
- No account, no sign-up. Connect Gmail and your email comes straight from Google to your Mac — there's no Anjadhe database holding your stuff.
- Sync is yours too. Between your own Macs, data travels through your own iCloud, encrypted.
The one-sentence version: your data goes only where you point it. By default, nowhere at all.
It tells you what to do today
Open Anjadhe and it answers a simple question: what should I do today?
Today is one short list: tasks that are due, things found in your email — a bill, a renewal, an RSVP — and your calendar. When the list is done, you're done. "Done for today" is a feeling this app actually gives you.
Adding things is just typing: "call dentist tomorrow 3pm" becomes a task with the right date and time. And the assistant does the tidying you never get around to — it suggests which goal a task belongs to, puts dates on the dateless, flags goals that have gone quiet, and walks you through a five-minute review once a week.
What the assistant can do
- Read your inbox for you. Connect Gmail and it pulls out what matters — deadlines, renewals, sign-ups — and puts each one on the right day.
- Keep your time in one place. Tasks, email to-dos, and calendar events together, as a list or on a timeline.
- Make things. Ask for a document, a slide deck, or a small web page — and export it to PDF.
- Look things up. Add a search key and it can search the web. Only your search words leave the Mac — not your documents or email.
Useful even without the AI
Anjadhe is also just a good home for your stuff. Notes, journal, tasks, calendar, bookmarks, investments — laid out for you to read, not only for a model. Turn the AI off entirely and the app still earns its place.
And if the built-in apps aren't enough, add your own. Describe the app you wish existed — a plant tracker, a reading list — and Anjadhe builds it, right on your Mac. Whatever you add gets saving, backup, sync, and the assistant's attention automatically.
Already use a coding agent?
Then Anjadhe is a canvas for it. Turn on Build Apps in Settings and
Anjadhe creates an apps folder (~/Anjadhe/apps/) with an AGENTS.md that
explains the whole contract. Start Claude Code — or any coding agent — in
that folder and describe what you want. The app appears on your home page
and hot-reloads as the agent works. Anything built there is a first-class
Anjadhe app: same local storage, encrypted backup, and sync as the
built-ins, and the assistant can see it too.

A Mac — Apple Silicon or Intel.
- To run the AI on the Mac itself: 32 GB of memory or more. Setup downloads the free model and everything happens at home.
- Have 8 GB? Bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. The app stays light, and the AI thinking happens on your own account with the provider you chose.
