Habits
The recurring behaviors that compound. Identity-based, with a cue, a two-minute action, and a streak.
Habits is built on the four laws of behavior change from Atomic Habits. Each habit captures who you are becoming (identity), the trigger that starts it (cue), the smallest version of the action you can actually do, and the satisfying signal that closes the loop (your streak). Habits sit alongside Goals under each Focus Area — recurring behavior on one side, specific outcomes on the other. Today’s due habits surface on the home page and inside their focus area. A 90-day heatmap shows consistency at a glance, and the “missed yesterday” warning enforces the never-miss-twice rule. Tap once to mark today done; for habits you’re trying to break, the same tap records “I avoided it today.”
What’s inside
- Identity-based design (“I am a runner”, not “I run”)
- Build or Break polarity — copy and laws invert for habits to avoid
- Cadence: daily or specific days of the week
- Streak counts only scheduled days, so weekday habits don’t break on weekends
- Missed-yesterday warning to enforce never-miss-twice
- 90-day heatmap and 30-day completion rate
- Optional link to a Focus Area for the identity anchor
